# How to set up Klaytn Service Chain

**Klaytn Service Chain** is auxiliary blockchains independent from the Klaytn main chain, tailored for individual BApp requiring special node configurations, customized security levels, or exceptionally high throughput that makes deploying the BApp on the main chain inconvenient or economically infeasible.

**Klaytn Service Chain** provides the following features.

- Immediate finality
- Cross-chain token transfer
- Data anchoring to the main chain
- Multi-sig bridge contract to meet enterprise security requirements

Klaytn team recommends to set up 4 consensus nodes service chain since at least four nodes are required to tolerate byzantine faults.
